TWIX brings back Zombie Claus for Hallowmas, offers $20,000 in prizes

TWIX is bringing back its Zombie Claus character for a second year as the Mars-owned candy brand combines Halloween scares and Christmas cheer for its Hallowmas campaign.

Zombie Claus, described by the company as the result of Santa being bitten by a zombie, serves as the centerpiece of the campaign, which plays off the TWIX theme that “Two Is More Than One.”

The campaign combines elements of Halloween and Christmas, while Zombie Claus will appear in unexpected locations and across TWIX social media channels throughout October.

“Hallowmas is rooted in the same belief that has always defined TWIX: when two things come together, they create something even better,” said Allison Miazga-Bedrick, Vice President of Marketing, Seasonal Portfolio at Mars. “By bringing Halloween and Christmas together through Zombie Claus, we’re creating a season that delivers twice the fun, fright and festive spirit. He’s the perfect symbol of what happens when unexpected combinations come together to create something uniquely TWIX. We’re excited to see just how far fans take the fear and cheer when they put their own spin on Hallowmas.”

This year’s campaign also introduces TWIX Skulls, a new seasonal product joining returning TWIX Ghoulish Green and TWIX Fun Size offerings.

TWIX is also offering $20,000 in prizes through its Hallowmas Rewards Contest, which invites fans to submit photos and videos showing how they are celebrating Hallowmas.

Three winners will be selected. The “Most Hallowmas Spirit” winner will receive $5,000 and TWIX products, while the “Best Zombie Claus Look-Alike” winner will also receive $5,000 and TWIX.

A grand prize winner will receive $10,000 and TWIX products.

The contest began Oct. 5 and runs through 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern time Nov. 8. No purchase is necessary, and entrants must be legal residents of the 50 states or Washington, D.C., and be at least 18 years old.
