‘Two Guys Against AI’ podcast launches, explores impact of artificial intelligence
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) — A new podcast examining the growing influence of artificial intelligence on society, creativity and everyday life has launched, featuring two local voices with different perspectives on the rapidly evolving technology.
“Two Guys Against AI,” hosted by Dr. Will Austin and Ed Smith, aims to break down complex topics surrounding artificial intelligence while encouraging listeners to think critically about its impact.
The podcast explores both the potential benefits and concerns tied to AI, including issues related to privacy, freedom and the role of technology in daily life.
“So much talk out there about AI it is overwhelming,” says Dr. Austin. “By not fault of their own, much of it is beyond the scope of most people. Our aim is to talk about AI in ways that anybody can understand and form their own opinions about what is good and perhaps what is bad.”
“As we are bombarded by it, whether we realize it or not, AI is clearly a part of our lives everyday now,” adds Smith. “It is here to stay and it’s moving at a rapid pace.”
Austin, president of Warren Community College for more than two decades, and Smith, an entrepreneur and former Warren County freeholder (now known as commissioner), bring distinct backgrounds to the discussion. Their conversations cover a wide range of topics, from artificial intelligence in music and relationships to its role in education, religion and global affairs.
Episodes currently available online include discussions on whether machines can create better music than humans, the rise of AI-driven chatbots in spirituality, and the potential for AI to replace certain jobs.
Organizers said the podcast is intended to provide accessible, thought-provoking conversations that help listeners better understand a technology that continues to shape modern life.
“Two Guys Against AI” is available on YouTube and select media platforms.
