Two women arrested after suspected meth, paraphernalia found in vehicle at Morris County shopping center, police say

MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — Two women were arrested after police found suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in a vehicle parked at a Budd Lake shopping center, according to Mount Olive Township police.

Police said officers responded at approximately 3:42 p.m. July 27 to the Mall at Wild Geese, 375 Route 46, after receiving a report of a woman passed out behind the wheel of a blue Toyota parked near Dunkin’.

The passenger identified herself as Jessica J. Dandrow, 38, of Toms River, while the driver was identified as Heather L. Salas, 48, of Chester.

According to police, the investigation determined Salas was in possession of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Police also discovered Dandrow had an active National Crime Information Center (NCIC) warrant issued by Cape May County. She was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia, according to police.

Both women were arrested and transported to police headquarters.

Salas was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released pending a court hearing.

Dandrow was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and hindering her own apprehension. Police said she was transported to Hackettstown Medical Center for evaluation pending a court hearing.
