Multiple vehicles, home damaged in early morning Morris County fire

PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS, N.J. (Morris County) — Multiple vehicles and a home were heavily damaged in an early morning fire Feb. 14 on Westminster Drive in Parsippany-Troy Hills, according to Parsippany-Troy Hills Fire District 6.

District 6 firefighters were dispatched in the early hours and were joined by Parsippany Fire District 5, Lake Hiawatha Fire Department and Parsippany Fire District 4 after reports of an active fire inside the residence.

Chief 6 arrived within minutes and encountered multiple vehicles on fire with heavy flames extending through much of the home, the department said in a Facebook post.

Firefighters battled freezing temperatures and frozen hydrants while working to bring the blaze under control.

The cause of the fire and whether any injuries were reported were not immediately available.

The department thanked the Antique Fire Association of New Jersey for providing hot drinks and food to firefighters operating at the scene.
