UPDATE: Mosquito spraying set for Wednesday in 4 Morris County towns
MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. – The Morris County Mosquito Commission has announced that it will be using an All-Terrain vehicle to treat a section of woods and surrounding property in Montville Township, and East Hanover Township Wednesday morning.
Spraying is scheduled to take place from 4 to 7 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30, weather permitting, the commission said.
The following areas are scheduled to be treated:
- Montville Township: Horseneck Rd (Community Park and amphitheater)
- East Hanover Township: Phyldan Rd, Eagle Rock Ave (including Givaudan and Ravello’s), River Rd, and Dixon Ln
The commission will be using Anvil 2+2, active ingredient Sumithrin, EPA#1021-1687-8329 or Zenivex E4, active ingredient Etofenprox, EPA#2724-807
The commission will also be using a truck-mounted sprayer to treat a street in Jefferson Township and Long Hill Township on Wednesday night.
Spraying is scheduled to take place from 9 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30, weather permitting, the commission said.
The following area is scheduled to be treated:
- Jefferson Township: Weldon Rd (Camp Jefferson)
- (UPDATE) Long Hill Township: Valley Rd, Rolling Hill Dr, Old Farm House Rd, Rainbow Dr, Aaron Dr, Leprechaun Dr, Joss Way, Poppy Pl, S. Northfield Rd, Indian Run, Heritage Rd, Deer Run, Karen Dietrich Dr, Stonehedge Rd, Knoll Ct, S. Main Ave, South Warren Ave (Long Hill DPW), Somerset St, Passaic Ave, Essex St, Morris St, Mercer St, Main Ave, Union St, Warren Ave, Delaware Ave, and Madison Street
The commission will be using Anvil 2+2, active ingredient Sumithrin, EPA#1021-1687-8329 or Zenivex E4, active ingredient Etofenprox, EPA#2724-807, Pesticide Applicator License Number 20262B.
