UPDATE: Passenger dies after van crashes into tree in Morris County

ROXBURY TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A passenger died after a van crashed into a tree in Morris County Monday morning, according to Meghan Knab, Public Information Officer for the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.

The crash happened around 5:30 a.m. at the intersection of Howard Boulevard and Mt. Arlington Road, Knab said.

A 2003 Chevy Express van was found crashed into a tree. A passenger in the van was pronounced dead at the scene, Knab said.

The driver was transported to Morristown Medical Center for treatment, Knab said.

The incident remains under investigation by the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, Roxbury Police Department, and Morris County Sheriff’s Office. No further information is available at this time, Knab added.
