UPDATE: Police ID victim in Warren County motorcycle crash

ALLAMUCHY TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Authorities have identified a 51-year-old motorcyclist who died in a crash in Warren County Monday night.

The victim was identified as Ronald L Smith, 51, of Randolph Township. The crash occurred on Sept. 4, at around 10:30 p.m., at 53 Bald Eagle Road, located in the Panther Valley section of Allamuchy Township, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Detective Jeffrey Lebron.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that an Aprilia motorcycle, driven by a 51-year-old Randolph Township man, ran off the roadway to the right and overturned, Lebron said.

As a result of the crash, Smith suffered fatal injuries, Lebron said.

The crash remains under investigation.
