Vehicle crashes into Warren County home

MANSFIELD TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) — A vehicle crashed into a home late Wednesday night in Mansfield Township, according to a post on the Mansfield Township Fire Company No. 1 Facebook page.

The crash occurred around 11:57 p.m. on the 1800 block of Route 57, where emergency crews arrived to find the vehicle had struck a telephone pole and partially entered the first floor of a single-family residence.

All occupants of the home and the vehicle were accounted for and reported to have only minor or no injuries, according to officials. However, the residence was deemed structurally unsafe, requiring temporary shoring before it could be reoccupied.

Fire crews requested assistance from South Branch Emergency Services in Hunterdon County for their specialized structural shoring equipment and expertise. Crews worked together to stabilize the building, mitigate hazards, and move equipment as needed.

The cause of the crash was not immediately clear.
