Veteran multifamily broker launches DLP Real Estate with $13.25M Raritan apartment sale

RARITAN, N.J. (Somerset County) — Veteran multifamily investment broker Debbie Pomerantz has launched DLP Real Estate, an independent commercial real estate brokerage firm, as she closes the $13.25 million sale of a newly constructed apartment community in Raritan.

Pomerantz, founding principal of DLP Real Estate, represented the unnamed seller and procured the buyer in the sale of Raritan Riverside, a 42-unit luxury multifamily property at 21 Orlando Drive.

The transaction coincides with Pomerantz’s launch of DLP Real Estate following her previous role as a senior vice president at a multifamily-focused brokerage firm in northern New Jersey.

Raritan Riverside was completed earlier this year and features Tudor-style architecture designed to complement the surrounding borough.

The two-story community includes one-bedroom units with 1.5 bathrooms and two-bedroom units with two bathrooms. The property also connects to a newly completed bike path providing residents with access to the Somerset County Greenway network.

“Launching DLP Real Estate allows me to bring a highly agile, creative and unencumbered approach to the multifamily investment sales market,” said Pomerantz. “Raritan Riverside is the perfect flagship transaction to debut the firm. It represents exactly what today’s apartment-property investors look for: superior architectural visibility that honors its local community while tapping directly into regional lifestyle infrastructure like the Somerset County Greenway. My philosophy has always been that there is more than one way to get a deal to the closing table, and DLP Real Estate is built entirely on that standard of nimble execution.”

Pomerantz has worked in commercial real estate for more than 21 years, beginning her career as a brokerage trainee before moving into senior investment sales roles.

Her experience includes work with institutional investors, private equity funds, family offices and private investors. Her brokerage background spans multifamily, retail, mixed-use and land development sales across the New York-New Jersey and greater Philadelphia metropolitan areas.

Pomerantz is also a multifamily investor, property owner and manager.

She has been recognized as a Woman of Influence in commercial real estate and has participated in industry and business organizations throughout her career, including current and past memberships in the New Jersey Property Owner’s Association, National Property Owner’s Association and local business groups.
