Warren County clerk warns residents about online passport application scams

WARREN COUNTY, NJ — Warren County Clerk Holly Mackey is warning residents to be cautious when downloading passport applications online.

“BEWARE!” Mackey stated. “When downloading passport applications online, make sure you are on the U.S. Department of State’s website.”

She emphasized that there is never a fee for printing applications for passports. Fees are only paid in person when submitting the application, and must be made by check or money order.

“Any website requesting online payments just for printing applications is a scam,” Mackey said.

Residents can renew their passport online via the official passport website:
https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports.html.
