Warren County Girl Scout earns Gold Award for ‘Bridges to Better Health’ project

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Earlier last week, Washington Township Police Captain Kaufmann, Officer Bagmut, and township officials joined Samantha, her family, and friends to celebrate her remarkable achievement of earning the Girl Scout Gold Award for her project, “Bridges to Better Health.”

Samantha, along with an incredible team of volunteers, constructed bog bridges within the Pohatcong Creek Natural Area trail system, located on Mine Hill Road.

In total, the project involved building an impressive 314 feet of bridges, providing the community with a safe and accessible space to unwind and enjoy nature.
