Warren County man among 2 injured, 1 killed in Pa. crash

UPPER MOUNT BETHEL TOWNSHIP, Pa. (Northampton County) — A woman was killed and two others, including a Warren County man, were injured Saturday evening in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Riverton Road and Deer Run Road in Upper Mount Bethel Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Troopers said the crash happened at about 7:12 p.m. when a Chevrolet Malibu driven by Tyler J. Loudenberry, 36, of Phillipsburg, was traveling west on Deer Run Road and struck the passenger side of a Volkswagen Taos traveling north on Riverton Road.

Both vehicles came to rest on the northwest corner of the intersection.

The passenger in the Volkswagen, identified as Beverly M. Schirripa, 63, of Bangor, Pa., was pronounced dead at the scene by the Northampton County Coroner’s Office.

The driver of the Volkswagen, John D. Schirripa, 61, of Bangor, was transported to St Luke’s Mount Pocono Campus with suspected serious injuries. Loudenberry was taken to St. Luke’s Anderson Campus for treatment of possible injuries, troopers said.

The collision remains under investigation by state police in Belfast.
