HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — A Warren County man is facing charges after allegedly refusing to leave a Hackettstown brewery and resisting arrest on Sunday, according to police.
An officer patrolling Czig Meister Brewing on Valentine Street at approximately 5:14 p.m. July 19 was notified of an intoxicated man who was refusing to leave the business, police said.
An investigation determined that Marco Manteiro, 49, of Washington Township, had been cut off from being served alcohol. Police allege Manteiro then went to the brewery’s beer tent, blew a horn into employees’ faces and used profanity.
Employees asked Manteiro to leave, but he instead ran into the crowd, police said.
An officer later located Manteiro and instructed him to leave the area. According to police, he refused, and when the officer advised him that he was being charged, Manteiro allegedly resisted arrest.
Manteiro was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. He was released pending a future court appearance.
