Warren Hills tops Hackettstown 48–20 in Centennial Showdown rivalry game

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — The Warren Hills Blue Streaks extended their winning streak over the Hackettstown Tigers on Friday night, taking home the “Beater Board” trophy with a 48–20 victory in the 100th anniversary rivalry game at Morrison Field.

The matchup marked a century of football between the two schools, drawing a large community turnout to celebrate the long-standing rivalry. The game capped off a week of spirit events and Thursday’s Centennial Rally Walk and Community Pep Rally.

Before kickoff, fans enjoyed the Tiger Zone Pre-Game Celebration, held from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. near the pool entrance, featuring local food trucks, games, and entertainment. Vendors included Btch’n Bacon on a Stick, The Sizzlin’ Spud, Marley’s Wings, A Slice of New Jersey, and Twin Flames Drinkables on the Go.

Pregame ceremonies began at 6:30 p.m., featuring alumni introductions by decade, Hall of Fame recognitions, and a special cheer performance. Fans were encouraged to wear white for the White Out theme, creating a unified sea of color in the stands.

After the final whistle, a Light Show Spectacular lit up the night sky, concluding the weekend’s centennial festivities celebrating a century of football, community, and Tiger pride.

Warren Hills improved to 5–4 on the season, while Hackettstown fell to 4–5.
