Warren, Morris and Somerset County businesses added to New Jersey labor enforcement list
TRENTON, N.J. — The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development has added eight businesses to its Workplace Accountability in Labor List, known as “The WALL,” including a trucking company in Warren County, a staffing firm in Somerset County and a Morris County pizzeria cited for outstanding wage, benefit and workers’ compensation violations.
Among the businesses added in May were TZN Trucking Inc. of Stewartsville, DGDISTISERVICES LLC, also known as DG Staffing Services, of Somerset and Perth Amboy, and Blanca Pineda LLC, doing business as Paisanos Pizzeria in Randolph Township.
State officials said the eight businesses collectively owe $353,559.68 in unpaid wages, fines and penalties, including violations related to New Jersey workers’ compensation laws.
The WALL bars listed businesses from receiving public contracts with state, county or local governments until their liabilities are paid in full.
The labor department said 368 businesses are currently listed on The WALL, with combined liabilities totaling approximately $33.1 million owed either directly to workers or to the state through unpaid taxes, contributions, fines or penalties.
TZN Trucking Inc., located on Marlin Farm Road in Stewartsville, was cited for violations of New Jersey Workers’ Compensation Law and owes $45,000 under a final judgment issued June 9, 2025, according to the department.
DGDISTISERVICES LLC, operating as DG Staffing Services, also was cited for workers’ compensation violations and owes $45,000 under a final judgment dated June 18, 2024.
Blanca Pineda LLC, which operates Paisanos Pizzeria in Randolph, was similarly listed for workers’ compensation violations and owes $45,000 under a June 9, 2025, judgment.
The WALL initiative was created through bipartisan legislation signed in 2020 as part of New Jersey’s efforts to combat worker misclassification and labor exploitation.
The department said businesses receive written notice and are given 20 days to pay or challenge the pending placement before their names are added to the public list.
Officials said four businesses were removed from The WALL since April after resolving outstanding liabilities. Since the initiative began, the state has recovered nearly $958,448 from businesses posted to the list or warned they would be added.
The WALL first launched in September 2023 with 36 businesses and is updated monthly. State procurement officials are required to check the list before awarding public contracts.
Other businesses added in May included CJM Mixed Martial Arts LLC in Bloomfield, El Tio Taco II LLC in West New York, Del Buono Construction in Keansburg, Western Africa Corp. in Dayton and Newark, and Chela’s Restaurant & Bar LLC in Paterson.
Chela’s Restaurant & Bar LLC was cited for alleged violations of New Jersey wage payment, wage and hour, and earned sick leave laws and owes $38,559.68, according to the department.
