
Warren Township police charge juvenile for threats against Warren Middle School students
WARREN TOWNSHIP, NJ (Somerset County) – A juvenile has been charged following threats made against students of Warren Middle School, according to Warren Township Police Chief Robert Ferreiro.
On Sunday, Oct. 20, the Warren Township Police Department received reports that a Warren Middle School student had allegedly made threatening statements outside of school hours to other students via an online social media platform, Ferreiro said.
Officers and detectives quickly launched an investigation, identified the responsible juvenile, and determined that the threat was not credible, Ferreiro added.
The juvenile has been charged with third-degree terroristic threats and issued a juvenile delinquency summons. As part of the investigation, the student’s electronic devices have been seized, Ferreiro said.
