Washington Township in Morris County to hold annual Memorial Day ceremony May 24

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) — Washington Township Recreation, in partnership with the American Veteran’s Association of Washington Township Post 1776, will host the Annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Saturday, May 24.

The event honors servicemen and servicewomen who have made significant sacrifices for the country.

The ceremony will take place at the Rock Spring Park Memorial Site, located at 35 East Springtown Road in Long Valley, beginning promptly at 12:00 noon, rain or shine. This year’s keynote speaker is First Lieutenant Timothy E. Fallon, USMC (Ret.).

Rock Spring Park will be reserved exclusively for the ceremony and closed to other activities on that day.

Jay Edwards

Born and raised in Northwest NJ, Jay has a degree in Communications and has had a life-long interest in local radio and various styles of music.
