Washington Township police officers honored for life-saving CPR efforts

WASHINGTON BOROUGH, N.J. (Warren County) — Two Washington Township police officers were honored this week for saving the life of a local man who went into cardiac arrest earlier this year.

Corporal Dallas Overko and Sergeant Mark Wildrick received CPR Save Awards during the Borough Council meeting for their quick response and life-saving actions.

The officers had responded to a call for an unconscious and unresponsive man, identified as Anthony Felicetta. Overko immediately began CPR upon arrival and was soon joined by Wildrick. Together with emergency medical personnel, they were able to revive Felicetta, who regained a pulse and began breathing on his own before being transported to the hospital.

Felicetta made a full recovery and attended the council meeting with his family, where he personally thanked the officers for saving his life.

“Thank you Corporal Overko and Sergeant Wildrick for your dedication, professionalism, and commitment to serving our community,” police said.
