White Meadow Lake Festival Days returns July 16-19 with rides, fireworks and family fun
ROCKAWAY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — One of Morris County’s longest-running summer traditions will return later this month as White Meadow Lake Festival Days brings four days of rides, fireworks, live entertainment and family activities to Rockaway Township.
The annual festival will take place July 16-19 at the White Meadow Lake Country Club and is open to the public with free admission.
Festival organizers said the event will feature amusement rides, food vendors, a vendor marketplace, live music, games and activities for all ages, with wristbands available for the rides.
Among the featured events are the White Meadow Lake Music Palooza, a 5K race, Kids Fishing Contest, sandcastle contest, volleyball tournament, cornhole tournament, kickball, karaoke, a Gong Show, pie-eating contest, face painting, caricatures, magic performances and the annual fireworks display.
New this year is an Adult Bubble Gum Blowing Contest.
The festival begins Thursday, July 16, with rides, food vendors, live music, a DJ and a Glow in the Dark Foam Party.
Friday’s schedule includes rides, food vendors, Morris Hills Wrestling Club activities, rockwall climbing and the White Meadow Lake Music Palooza.
Saturday features children’s activities, contests, tournaments, rides, axe throwing, karaoke and the Gong Show.
Sunday’s lineup includes the pre-race stretch and 5K, kayak and canoe races, the vendor market, pie-eating contest, face painting, motorized boat parade, White Meadow Lake Idol, a granny pants race, the new bubble gum blowing contest and a fireworks display scheduled for 9:30 p.m., weather permitting.
