BYRAM TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – A Passaic County woman was arrested twice in one night in Byram Township.
On July 20, at 9:50 p.m., police responded to the area of 151 Lackawanna Drive for the report of a female screaming and banging on doors as she left a party in the area, officials said.
Officer located a female screaming in the roadway, who was later identified as Katelyn E. Lewandosky, 21, of West Milford. Officers attempted to assist Lewandowsky, as she appeared agitated and intoxicated, police said.
Lewandowsky continued to act disorderly in the roadway despite patrols efforts to deescalate the situation. She became aggressive with officers, flailing her arms and pushing past them into oncoming traffic. While being arrested, she allegedly resisted and kicked the patrol vehicle door, police said.
Lewandowsky was transported to the Byram Township Police Station where she was processed and while in the processing room she intentionally urinated on the floor, officials said.
Lewandowsky was charged with disorderly conduct, obstructing the administration of law, harassment, and resisting arrest. She was then released to family pending a court appearance, police said.
After being released to family, Lewandowsky got out of the vehicle and became disorderly. Officers responded to the second disorderly call and Lewandowsky screaming in the street, police said.
Officers requested Lakeland Emergency Squad to respond due to Lewandowsky’s level of intoxication. She then allegedly lunged at officers and attempted to bite them. While being arrested, she resisted, police said.
Lewandowsky was charged additionally with disorderly conduct, obstructing the administration of law, and resisting arrest, police said.
