Woman charged with DUI following crash in Warren County

INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A woman is facing driving while under the influence charge following a motor vehicle crash last month in Warren County.

The single-vehicle crash happened on Aug. 10 on Route 517 in Independence Township, police said.

Officers made contact with the driver, who was identified as Brookes Spiegel, 43, of Hackettstown, and officers allegedly observed signs of impairment when speaking with her, police said.

A series of field sobriety tests were administered which resulted in Spiegel being arrested for driving under the influence, police said.

Spiegel was issued multiple citations and released to a responsible person, police said.
