Woman charged with DWI after hit-and-run crash in Hackettstown

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – A Hackettstown woman was charged with driving while intoxicated after an alleged hit-and-run crash Friday night in Hackettstown, according to police.

On April 29, at around 11:52 p.m., police responded to Washington Street near West Plane Street for a report of a hit-and-run motor vehicle crash, police said.

An officer arrived on scene and observed the suspect’s vehicle parked on West Plane Street between Washington Street and Route 46, police said.

Through a police investigation it was determined that Katelyn Miller, 29, was travelling east on Washington Street and struck a 2007 Honda parked alongside the roadway.

While the officer was speaking to Miller, the officer detected the odor of alcoholic beverage, police said.

No injuries were reported, police said.

Miller was charged with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident. She was released to an adult pending a court appearance, police said.
