Woman charged with DWI after Hunterdon County crash

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — A Hunterdon County woman was charged with driving while intoxicated after a single-vehicle crash on Valley Crest Road in Clinton Township, police said.

According to police, officers responded to a motor vehicle crash on May 16 and found a white Hyundai partially off the roadway with significant damage.

Police identified the driver as Jennifer M. Hunter, 46, of Clinton Township.

Authorities said Hunter exhibited signs of impairment and did not perform standardized field sobriety tests as instructed. She was arrested and transported to police headquarters for processing. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Police said breath test results later showed Hunter’s blood alcohol concentration exceeded the legal limit.

Hunter was charged with driving while intoxicated, careless driving, reckless driving and failure to keep right.

She was released to the custody of a responsible adult pending a court appearance.
