MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Morris County woman is facing multiple charges following a hit-and-run crash in Mount Olive Township.
On February 1 at 9:02 p.m., police responded to a parking lot at the Overlook Apartments, located in the Flanders section of the township, for a report of a hit-and-run accident, authorities said.
When the officer arrived, he found the vehicle, a white Nissan, parked nearby. The officer contacted the driver, identified as Reyna Miller, 20, of Flanders, who was still seated inside the vehicle, police said.
As the officer spoke with Miller, he reportedly detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage and noted that she appeared impaired. The officer also observed an open bottle of vodka on the passenger-side floor of the vehicle, police said.
Miller was asked to exit the vehicle for field sobriety testing and was subsequently arrested, authorities said.
She was charged with DWI, underage driver with a blood alcohol content (BAC), reckless driving, consumption of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, failure to report an accident, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving an unregistered vehicle, improper display of plates, and failure to exhibit documents. Miller was released to a sober driver pending a court appearance, police said.
