Woman charged with shoplifting, accused of concealing items in cereal box and shopping bags at Morris County Walmart

MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Hackettstown woman is accused of concealing items in a cereal box and shopping bags without paying at the Walmart in Mount Olive Township.

On Sept. 26, at around 5:47 p.m., police responded to Walmart, located at 40 International Drive in the Flanders section of the township, after receiving a report of a shoplifter in custody. Upon arrival, police met with store personnel in the Loss Prevention office and spoke with the suspect, identified as 63-year-old Mirsada Hadzovic, authorities said.

Hadzovic concealed items in an empty cereal box and reusable shopping bags while shopping. She then attempted to leave the store without paying for the merchandise, which totaled $135.17, police said.

Hadzovic was arrested and charged with shoplifting. Following the arrest, she was released pending a court appearance, police said.
