Woman gets probation for cocaine possession in Sussex County

NEWTON, NJ (Sussex County) – A Sussex County woman was sentenced to probation after pleading guilty to possession of cocaine, according to Sussex County Prosecutor Francis Koch.

Christina Reed, 35, of Wantage Township was sentenced before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on March 11, Koch said.

Reed was sentenced to three years of probation, ordered to submit to a substance abuse evaluation and follow any and all recommendations made from same, submit a DNA sample and pay fines and fees totaling $1,205.00, Koch siad.

Reed pled guilty on January 12 to third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance, Koch said.

According to Koch, Reed was in possession of cocaine on March 14, 2020 in Wantage Township.

Reed was represented by Bruce Farrier, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
