15-year-old remains hospitalized following dirt bike crash in Hunterdon County

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) — A 15-year-old dirt bike rider was seriously injured in a crash with a pickup truck in Hunterdon County last month, according to the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office.

The collision occurred on Thursday, October 17, around 7:05 p.m. on Milford Warren Glen Road in Holland Township, officials said.

According to the prosecutor’s office, the dirt bike, which was not equipped with lights or reflectors, crashed into the passenger side of a pickup truck driven by a 51-year-old Milford Borough resident. The dirt bike was not designed for use on public roadways, and the operator, who was unlicensed to operate a motorcycle, was thrown from the bike upon impact.

The injured teen was airlifted to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he remains in serious condition, authorities said.

The crash is under investigation by the Holland Township Police Department and the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office. No charges have been filed as of Thursday, officials said.
