2.6-magnitude aftershock reported in New Jersey

NEW JERSEY – A 2.6 magnitude aftershock reported in New Jersey Wednesday morning, according to the USGS.

The 2.6 magnitude aftershock, which occurred about 7:01 a.m., was centered about less than a miles WNW of Gladstone in Somerset County and had a depth of 5.0 kilometers.

There have been 160 aftershocks felt in the area since the 4.8 magnitude earthquake that occurred on April 5 at around 10:23 a.m., and centered in Tewksbury Township in Hunterdon County and had a depth of 4.7 kilometers.

There were no initial reports of injuries or damages to structures in the area.
