WARREN TOWNSHIP, NJ (Somerset County) — Two pedestrians were killed in a crash on Interstate 78 in Warren Township, Somerset County, on Monday evening, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Sergeant Charles Marchan.

The crash occurred around 5:25 p.m. on the westbound side of Interstate 78 at milepost 38.7 in Warren Township, Marchan said.

Based on a preliminary investigation, a Toyota minivan with a flat tire was stopped on the right shoulder. Pedestrians Tuoc Q. Dau, 46, of Macungie, PA, and Thao P. Ho, 62, of Nazareth, PA, were standing outside the right rear of the vehicle, between the minivan and the guardrail, Marchan said.

As a result of the crash, Dau and Ho sustained fatal injuries, Marchan added.
