One resident injured in Sussex County house fire

SPARTA TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) — One resident was injured after a house fire on Monday in Sparta Township.

The fire broke out around 6:30 p.m. at a residential home located at 190 West Shore Trail. Fire departments quickly responded and extinguished the flames.

One resident was transported to a local hospital with minor burns and smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Sparta Police Detective Bureau.
