
Jewelry stolen in Morris County home burglary; police investigating
CHATHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – Police are searching for a suspect following a reported home burglary in Chatham Township.
According to police, a resident reported the burglary at their home on Dellwood Avenue on the evening of November 30th after returning to the residence and discovering the break-in.
During the investigation, it was determined that the suspect entered the home on Wednesday, November 27th, through an unsecured window at the rear of the residence. Once inside, the thief ransacked the home and stole various pieces of jewelry.
Detectives are reviewing surveillance footage from the property to help identify the suspect. In the meantime, authorities are urging anyone with information to contact Detective Mike Bloom at 973-377-0100.
Chatham Township Police remind residents to make sure your home is secured and to activate your burglar alarm, if you have one, when leaving. If any suspicious activity is observed, residents are encouraged to report it to the police immediately.
