CLINTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – Police say a juvenile assaulted two officers, causing injuries, during an incident earlier this month in Clinton Township.
On December 14, police responded to a family dispute on Runkle Drive, during which the juvenile allegedly threatened family members, according to Clinton Township Police Chief Thomas A. DeRosa.
While officers were detaining the juvenile for safety reasons, the subject remained combative and allegedly assaulted two officers, causing physical injuries. The juvenile was then taken into custody, DeRosa said.
The juvenile was charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, terroristic threats, possession of a weapon, and resisting arrest, DeRosa said.
The juvenile was then released to the custody of a family member, DeRosa said.
