Arc of Warren County to honor community leaders at annual Excellence Awards

WASHINGTON, N.J. (Warren County) — The Arc of Warren County announced it will host its annual Community Excellence Awards on November 19, 2025, at 6 p.m. at David’s Country Inn in Hackettstown, recognizing individuals and organizations that have made meaningful contributions to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The event’s presenting sponsors are James Travis of Otterstedt Insurance Agency and Norman Worth of WRNJ Radio, celebrating more than 35 years of Radiothon partnership supporting The Arc.

“I am so pleased that we are recognizing these individuals in this manner,” said John Whitehead, CEO of The Arc of Warren County. “They have all made an impact in our community in bettering the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Warren County. Please consider joining us on November 19, 2025.”

This year’s honorees include:

  • Panther Valley Pharmacy – Community Partner Award
  • Marylouise Rowlin, Warren Hills Regional School District – Educator of the Year
  • Virgienne Spann – Member of the Year
  • Lorraine D’Sylva-Lee, LEE Services – Trailblazer Award
  • Chris Jacksic, Mayor of Hardwick Township – Community Advocate Award

In addition, a Special Recognition Award will be presented in memory of James Hoover, founder of The Arc Foundation, Warren County Chapter.

Tickets are $90 for non-members and $85 for members of The Arc of Warren County. Commemorative journal ads are available for purchase, ranging from $250 to $750.

Born and raised in Northwest NJ, Jay has a degree in Communications and has had a life-long interest in local radio and various styles of music.
