
Walmart employee in Morris County accused of stealing PlayStation 5
MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Walmart employee is accused of stealing a PlayStation 5 from a store in Mount Olive Township.
On January 19, at 7:34 a.m., an officer responded to the Walmart located at 40 International Drive in the Flanders section of Mount Olive Township for a report of theft, police said.
Upon arrival, the officer was directed to the Loss Prevention Office, where he made contact with the Loss Prevention staff and a Walmart employee identified as Marco Mongon, 33, of Budd Lake, police said.
The Walmart loss prevention officer advised that Mongon was allegedly observed concealing a PlayStation 5, valued at $699, in a tote bag and removing it from the store during his shift, according to police.
Mongon was arrested and charged with theft of movable property. He was released pending a court appearance, police said.
