Man arrested in connection with series of Dunkin’ Donuts burglaries across New Jersey, including Morris County
NEW JERSEY – A Newark man is accused of being involved in a series of alleged Dunkin’ Donuts burglaries across northern and central New Jersey, including Morris County, according to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella.
For approximately two months, from December 2024 through January 2025, multiple jurisdictions in New Jersey and New York were affected by a commercial burglary pattern. Members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Crime Reduction Unit began analyzing the series of incidents and established a connection between burglaries in Bergen, Middlesex, Morris, and Union counties, as well as similar incidents in New York, Musella said.
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Crime Reduction Unit activated its companion resource, the Bergen County Crime Reduction Task Force — a group of municipal law enforcement officers in Bergen County focused on multi-jurisdictional investigations. The detectives worked together to determine that fourteen Dunkin’ Donuts stores were burglarized by the same suspect during overnight hours in December 2024 and January 2025 across four New Jersey counties. A fifteenth store was also linked to the series, in which the suspect attempted but failed to burglarize the establishment, Musella said.
In these incidents, surveillance footage showed a lone male burglarizing — or, in one case, attempting to burglarize — the stores by prying open locked entry doors and windows. Once inside, the burglar targeted cash registers, safes, and managers’ offices for theft and vandalism, Musella said.
The investigation spanned several weeks, resulting in the identification of 24-year-old Enajaim E. Bowman as the suspect responsible for the burglary pattern, Musella said.

Bowman was charged on Feb. 11 with fourteen counts of third-degree burglary, one count of third-degree attempted burglary, twelve counts of third-degree theft, two counts of third-degree criminal mischief, and seven counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief. The charges encompass all the crimes committed across four New Jersey counties, totaling $18,267.16 in stolen cash, $140 in stolen gift cards, and $10,000 in property damage, Musella said.
On Tuesday, February 25, Enajaim E. Bowman surrendered to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and was taken into custody without incident. He was subsequently remanded to the Bergen County Jail, pending a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court, Musella said.
