No injuries reported in Hunterdon County house fire

READINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – No injuries were reported following a house fire Thursday evening in Readington Township, according to police.

On May 1 at around 6:31 p.m., police responded to a report of a structure fire in the 100 block of Pleasant Run Road.

All occupants were able to evacuate safely, and no injuries were sustained. Due to the location of the fire and the arrival of multiple emergency vehicles, Pleasant Run Road was closed for approximately three hours while firefighters worked under challenging conditions, police said.

The fire was extinguished through the efforts of several area fire departments, including the Whitehouse Fire Department, Three Bridges Fire Department, and Readington Fire Department. The Whitehouse Rescue Squad also responded to provide medical assistance on scene.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Raritan Township Fire Marshal, the Readington Township Police Detective Bureau, and the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office.
