Lane closures set for Easton-Phillipsburg toll bridge inspections

PHILLIPSBURG, N.J. (Warren County) — Lane closures are scheduled next week at the Easton-Phillipsburg (Route 22) Toll Bridge to accommodate biennial inspection work, according to the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission.

The closures will take place from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28; Thursday, May 29; and Friday, May 30.

An eastbound (New Jersey-bound) lane will be closed on Wednesday and Friday, with one of two eastbound lanes remaining open. A westbound (Pennsylvania-bound) lane closure is scheduled for Thursday, with one of two westbound lanes remaining open.

Travel delays are not expected.

Motorists are urged to reduce speed and exercise caution in cordoned areas where bridge inspection crews are working.

The lane closure schedule is subject to change due to weather, emergencies or other unforeseen circumstances.
