Sussex County Community College freezes tuition for fall 2025 semester
NEWTON, N.J. (Sussex County) — Sussex County Community College (SCCC) has announced it will maintain current tuition rates for the Fall 2025 semester, reinforcing its commitment to affordability and student success amid continuing economic uncertainty.
“Students and their families need to rely on keeping finances unchanged and manageable,” said Dr. Cory Homer, interim president of SCCC. “By maintaining our current tuition rates for Fall 2025, we hope to alleviate financial concerns and give our students the education they deserve without additional financial burden.”
SCCC remains the only community college in New Jersey without a tuition increase for the upcoming academic term. The college continues to invest in academic offerings, student support services, and campus infrastructure to enhance the overall educational experience.
Jillian Couch, a 2025 SCCC graduate, praised the college’s affordability. “The cost savings have been tremendous,” Couch said. “I wouldn’t have been able to complete my degree or enter the Ramapo 3+1 program without the affordability at SCCC. It allowed me to save significantly on my tuition.”
The college is currently advancing multiple capital projects across its campus, including renovations to the Adult Transition Center, Library Commons, New Optics Technology Center, Art Gallery, Nursing Simulation Lab, New Patient Care Lab, Public Safety Training Academy, and MTEC rear building.
SCCC offers more than 100 academic degree and certificate programs, along with extensive student services and extracurricular opportunities.
