Sussex County woman killed in single-vehicle crash; cause under investigation

SPARTA TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Sussex County) — A 35-year-old Sussex County woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Woodport Road in Sparta Township on the evening of June 20, according to police.

Police said officers responded to the scene and found that the driver, identified as Jenn Netel of Sparta Township, had died at the scene. Netel was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

Sparta police detectives and the department’s traffic reconstructionist conducted a detailed on-site investigation, including scene measurements. The cause of the crash has not yet been determined, and the investigation is ongoing.

Authorities thanked first responders for their swift and professional response and the public for their cooperation at the scene.
