Atlantic Rehabilitation Institute ranked No. 1 in Northeast by Newsweek
MADISON BOROUGH, N.J. (Morris County) — Atlantic Rehabilitation Institute has been named to Newsweek’s list of America’s Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers 2025 and ranked first in the Northeast Region, the hospital announced.
The award is presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc., a global statistics portal and industry ranking provider. The list was announced Aug. 20 and will appear in Newsweek’s Sept. 5 print edition.
Atlantic Rehabilitation Institute is a two-story, 38-bed rehabilitation hospital in Madison. Built from the ground up by Atlantic Health, the hospital is a joint venture between Atlantic Health and Lifepoint Health. Since opening in 2019, it has become a leading provider of acute inpatient rehabilitation services in New Jersey, specializing in neurological rehabilitation, stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, and amputation care.
The hospital features state-of-the-art technology and therapies, including bionic assisted movement systems, therapeutic courtyards, fully equipped rehabilitation gyms and a dedicated Activities of Daily Living (ADL) suite.
“Atlantic Rehabilitation Institute is proud to be recognized on Newsweek’s list of America’s Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers 2025 and to see our hospital ranked highest in the Northeast Region,” said Saif Salim, Chief Executive Officer of Atlantic Rehabilitation Institute. “This award highlights the remarkable and industry-leading care our team of rehabilitation professionals delivers every day. We meet patients at some of the most difficult crossroads in their lives and know the impact that patient-centered treatment can have on their recovery journeys.”
The ranking is based on four data pillars: quality metrics published by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, a nationwide online survey of health care experts conducted with Newsweek, accreditation data from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and the Model Systems Knowledge Translation Center, and Google reviews as a proxy for patient satisfaction.
Statista, Newsweek’s research partner, publishes hundreds of industry rankings worldwide and provides analysis through its data portal, statista.com.
