RANDOLPH TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – County College of Morris (CCM) has announced that, with funding from the Morris County Board of County Commissioners, it continues to remain one of the most affordable colleges in New Jersey.
At its February 2025 Board of Trustees meeting, CCM approved its fiscal year 2025-26 budget, which includes a 5.4% increase in tuition. The college did not raise tuition last year, resulting in a modest 2.7% increase over the past two years—far below the rate of inflation.
CCM expressed its gratitude to the Morris County Commissioners for their continued support, helping the college maintain its status as one of the best values in higher education in New Jersey. The college has earned numerous accolades, including being ranked “#1 Best Community College in New Jersey by Salary Potential” by Payscale, as well as “Best Community College in New Jersey” by Best Accredited Colleges. Intelligent also named CCM among the “Top 5 Best Community Colleges” in the state and the “Best for Transfer Students.” Additionally, CCM boasts the highest graduation rates in the state, according to the United States Department of Education.
“We are deeply appreciative of the unwavering support from the Morris County Board of Commissioners,” said Dr. Anthony Iacono, president of CCM. “CCM is committed to providing a high-quality and affordable education that helps change lives and strengthens communities.”
“Given that CCM has had to absorb over a million dollars in healthcare cost increases and a 17% rise in utility rates, we are grateful that our Commissioners remain committed to supporting our college and the state,” Iacono added.
CCM’s impact on the local community is substantial. In fiscal year 2022-23, the college generated $586.1 million in income within Morris County, promoting regional economic growth. Furthermore, CCM supported 5,977 jobs—about one out of every 75 jobs in the county.
Offering over 100 programs of study, including associate degrees, industry-recognized certificates, and professional development options, CCM provides a wide range of learning formats to suit students’ needs, including in-person, hybrid, and online courses.
Many programs can be completed in just a few weeks, and a degree can typically be earned in two years or less. For those not seeking a degree, the college’s Center for Workforce Development equips students with cutting-edge skills to enhance their employability in an ever-changing job market.
