Hackettstown to host 12th Annual Halloween Downtown Celebration on Oct. 25
HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — The Town of Hackettstown will host its 12th Annual Halloween Downtown Celebration on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, from 3 to 5 p.m. at The Gazebo on Main Street and West Moore Street, promising a frightfully fun afternoon filled with costumes, candy, and community spirit.
The event will begin with the Halloween Parade, with lineup and judging starting at 2 p.m. at Centenary University on West Moore Street between Beatty Street and Second Avenue. Mayor Jerry DiMaio will join parade participants, and winners of the costume contest will lead the procession, which steps off at 3 p.m. and travels down West Moore Street to The Gazebo.
At the Gazebo, children will enjoy a variety of giveaways, including candy from Mars Wrigley, gifts from Hackettstown Stormwater Management, goodies from WRNJ Radio, and a free pumpkin from Donaldson Farms while supplies last.
Prizes will be awarded for the Best Costume in the following categories:
- Infant to 3 years
- Ages 4 to 6
- Ages 7 to 10
- Family
- Pet (any age)
After the parade, families can continue the fun with Trick-or-Treating at downtown businesses and Trunk-or-Treat events from 3 to 5 p.m. in the rear parking lot of Trinity United Methodist Church (213 Main Street) and in Municipal Lot #2 behind EXIT Realty Connections NJ (149 Main Street).
“This event is one of Hackettstown’s most beloved traditions,” said Hackettstown Public Information Officer Darren Tynan. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for families and neighbors to celebrate together, enjoy local businesses, and make lasting Halloween memories.”
The annual celebration is sponsored by the Hackettstown Police Department, Town of Hackettstown, Mars Wrigley, Hackettstown Business Improvement District (BID), Centenary University, Donaldson Farms, and WRNJ Radio.
