Clinton Township police charge man in credit card theft investigation

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — A 28-year-old Easton, Pennsylvania, man is accused of using a stolen credit card to make more than $800 in unauthorized purchases across New Jersey and Pennsylvania, according to the Clinton Township Police Department.

Police said a victim reported on Oct. 28, 2025, that her credit card had been used for $876.47 in fraudulent charges after she allegedly lost it on Sept. 15. The unauthorized purchases occurred at businesses in Clinton, Lebanon and Easton.

After reviewing surveillance footage, investigators identified the suspect as Andrew T. Brantmuller of Easton, who was reportedly employed at one of the businesses where the transactions took place. Officers responded to the store, located Brantmuller and placed him under arrest.

He was transported to police headquarters, where he was charged with theft of a lost credit card and credit card theft. Brantmuller received copies of his charges and was released on his own recognizance pending a hearing in Hunterdon County Superior Court.
