4-year-old found unresponsive in Sussex County dies from injuries

WANTAGE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Sussex County) — A 4-year-old child died Tuesday after troopers responded to a medical emergency on South Shore Drive in Wantage Township, according to the New Jersey State Police.

Trooper II Christopher Postorino said troopers were called to the home at 12:34 p.m. on Dec. 2 for a medical assist. When they arrived, they found the child unresponsive.

The child later died from their injuries, Postorino said.

The incident remains under investigation, and no additional information is available, according to state police.
