Skittles to bring a live ‘Big Game’ ad to one fan’s front door, with Elijah Wood
Skittles is turning the idea of a game-day commercial into an in-person stunt — bringing a live, performed ad to one winner’s home starring actor Elijah Wood.
The candy brand said the promotion is tied to Skittles home delivery through Gopuff. On Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026, one selected fan will receive what the company is calling a “live Skittles commercial” performed at their front door, complete with candy delivery and Wood appearing as a “mysterious creature” summoned on demand.
In the campaign’s storyline, a magical horn triggers the character’s appearance with Skittles. While most viewers won’t have that horn, the brand said it is recreating the concept by delivering the commercial itself to a doorstep on game day.
“SKITTLES has always delivered deliciously perplexing experiences to fans, but this year we are bringing the unexpected to fans on game day,” said Gabrielle Wesley, Chief Marketing Officer, Mars Snacking North America. “Snack selection is nearly as important as the Big Game – so we’re excited to give fans a chance to summon SKITTLES, a live commercial, and yes, Elijah Wood too.”
The company said fans can enter for a chance to win by visiting DeliverTheRainbow.com and following the entry instructions.
The promotion is positioned as a one-off experience for game day, with the brand pitching it as an ad that “cannot be paused, skipped, muted” — because it takes place live at the winner’s door.
