Tractor-trailer hauling metal coils overturns on I-80 in Warren County; no injuries reported
ALLAMUCHY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) — An overturned tractor-trailer hauling large sheet metal coils shut down traffic on Interstate 80 westbound in Warren County for several hours early Wednesday, officials said.
State troopers responded to the crash at about 3:20 a.m. at milepost 18.4 in Allamuchy Township, according to officials. A preliminary investigation found that the tractor-trailer lost directional control, struck a guardrail and overturned.
No injuries were reported, officials said.
The crash initially closed all westbound lanes. One lane later reopened, and all lanes were reopened shortly before 9 a.m., officials said.
The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional information was immediately available.
