Sussex County Community College to offer evening college classes at Delaware Valley High School

NEW JERSEY — Sussex County Community College is expanding local access to higher education by offering college-level courses at Delaware Valley High School, giving students a chance to earn college credits close to home, the college said.

The offerings include general education classes in English composition, history, psychology and mathematics. Courses will be taught in a hybrid format, with two meetings a week — one in person and one online, according to the college.

The classes will run during the college’s Delayed Start session from Feb. 9 through May 9, with evening meetings scheduled from 6 to 7:40 p.m. The schedule is intended to accommodate students balancing school, work and other commitments, the college said.

Additional courses are planned for fall 2026, expanding opportunities for students to begin earning credits earlier, the college said.

The college said students can reduce costs while earning transferable credits in a local setting, noting that more than 72% of its graduates complete their education debt-free. The application is free, the college said.
