Sussex County launches needs assessment survey to shape age-friendly communities
NEWTON, N.J. (Sussex County) — Sussex County officials have launched an Age-Friendly Communities Needs Assessment Survey aimed at gathering feedback from residents 60 and older to help guide future planning and services, county officials said.
The Sussex County Board of County Commissioners and the county Department of Health and Human Services’ Division of Senior Services announced the survey in partnership with the New Jersey Division of Aging Services and AARP. Officials said the survey is intended to better understand community strengths, needs and priorities that support healthy aging and quality of life.
Developed by AARP, the survey is available online to Sussex County residents at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SussexCountyAFC. Paper copies are also available for residents who prefer a non-digital option, officials said. Responses will be accepted through March 30, 2026.
County officials said results will be used to inform future programs and initiatives designed to create more age-friendly communities across Sussex County, and encouraged older adults to participate and share their experiences.
