Lace up: Hackettstown ice skating pond is ready for winter fun

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — Winter recreation is officially underway in Hackettstown as the ice skating pond at the Tannery Parking Area off Grand Avenue is frozen and ready for skaters.

Hackettstown Recreation flooded the parking area to create the seasonal pond, and recreation staff cleared snow from the ice on Tuesday, leaving the surface prepared and waiting for use.

Officials are asking skaters to follow all posted rules to help maintain safe conditions and allow the community to enjoy the pond throughout the winter. Ice conditions may change with the weather, and users are encouraged to skate responsibly.

The skating pond is open to the public and offers a free outdoor option for winter fun during the cold-weather season.
