Phillipsburg police say no deceased individuals found at residence

PHILLIPSBURG, N.J. (Warren County) — Phillipsburg police addressed community discussion about a reported incident in the area of Cedar Alley on Tuesday, saying officers responded to a residence on Cedar Alley and found no deceased individuals.

In a public information statement, the department said officers were dispatched after a caller reported finding deceased individuals inside a home.

Upon arrival, officers determined that no one was dead and there was no threat to the public, police said. The call was related to a resident experiencing a mental health crisis.

Police said officers worked in coordination with mental health professionals to ensure the individual received appropriate support and resources.

“There is no danger to the community,” the department said. “We appreciate everyone’s concern and encourage residents to rely on official sources for accurate information.”
